Rowena Rabbit is a vegan chef living in the south of Spain on a 4-acre farm which she shares with her husband, Dan, and their many rescue animals.
Her passion for a plant-based lifestyle started 40 years ago when, as a child, she decided to stop eating meat and fish.
The joy Rowena feels when nourishing people, is her ultimate inspiration. From an early age, she felt that social eating and comforting people through food was her purpose.
She spent many years living in Nottingham, UK which is renowned for its thriving vibrant curry houses. It was here that she started her culinary journey and expanded her experience and knowledge.
Her formative years in Nottingham immersed her in the vegan and vegetarian community and she ran a successful health food business which made her focused on the importance and benefits of vegan food and nutrition.
An avid traveller, Rowena enjoyed many years of backpacking and van life, where she studied different world foods and established her huge love of Indian and Asian cuisine.
Rowena was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2016, and while recovering she decided the time had finally come to put what she had learnt into practice. She felt passionate about providing healthy, nutrient-dense, affordable vegan food and increasing awareness among everyone. She was galvanised into action, and so Rowena Rabbit Conscious Catering was born.

I have been using Rowena’s Catering for a few weeks and the dishes truly are 5 star rated. Every dish tasty, fresh and wholesome. as a Restaurant owner myself I cannot recommend Rowena enough, I have never had Vegan food this amazing, the 5 Bean Chilli, Risotto Primavera and Moroccan Soup are mouth-watering. Yes, all our food is 100% vegan. Made in a completely vegan kitchen, by vegans. You can’t be more vegan than that!
We have experimented with many different types of food container and we find these are the best. They can be reused in your home if you so wish, or alternatively you can wash them and return them to your delivery driver, who will give them back to us to be sterilised and reused. When they eventually break we can then send them off to be recycled.
Some are. Some aren’t. We tend to batch cook curries and soups to freeze, but we obviously cannot freeze fresh salads and pasta. So they are all made to order. Pop them in your fridge and they will be good for a few days. Frozen food can be defrosted to eat, or put in your freezer for your convenience.
Approximate basic nutritional information is available for each dish and can be emailed across to you. As are all the ingredients used.
No, it’s not all organic. We use organic grains, seeds, and herbs and much of our veg is organic. We do use locally sourced produce from the Guadalhorce valley and our town.

We are based in the countryside in Coin, near Malaga in Andalucia. Surrounded by fertile farm land growing nutritious vegetables for us to use.
